A ceremonial session of the Serbia-Republic of Srpska Parliamentary Forum is underway, dedicated to a retrospective of this forum’s work from its establishment to the present day.

The President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, expressed her satisfaction with coming to Banja Luka and holding the fifth session of the Republic of Serbia-Republic of Srpska Parliamentary Forum. – I can say with great pride that we pay special attention to preserving the Serbian language, our Cyrillic script, culture, tradition, identity, cooperation in the fields of education and science, strengthening the culture of remembrance and further connecting our institutions, economy and people – she said. Brnabić stated it was an obligation of Serbia and Srpska to implement the commitments given in the Declaration of the All-Serbian Assembly through concrete policies, initiatives and projects.

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Nenad Stevandić, said that the Serbia-Republic of Srpska Parliamentary Forum had had the largest and most fruitful cooperation over the past two years and that Serbia had the most projects in Srpska. – We held four sessions before this one, two in Banja Luka, two in Belgrade, and the Parliamentary Forum was engaged in encouraging the projects that we want completed by the next term. To have the Banja Luka-Belgrade highway, to complete the Memorial Center, as well as many other projects – added Stevandić. He recalled the joint celebration of the Day of Serbian Unity and the National Flag on 15 September.

The session is also attended by President Milorad Dodik, who added that the Srpska-Serbia Forum would remain for future terms. – We do not need to hold two separate sessions to adopt something. I have to thank President Vučić and his team – he added.

The Serbia-Republic of Srpska Parliamentary Forum, consisting of deputies of Srpska’s National Assembly and Serbian Assembly, was established on 2 July 2024 in Banja Luka.
