An investor from Germany will open a company in the Nova Topola industrial zone near Gradiška early next year and initially employ 40 staff, said the BiH Consul General in Munich, Vera Sajić.

– An investor from Germany will soon employ 40 staff in the Nova Topola industrial zone, and then, according to them, they intend to employ five more every week until the end of 2023. Which means about 250 employees – said Sajić.

She pointed out that the company’s registration had been completed, that the premises had been leased, and that machines would arrive from Germany in January.

Sajić stated that here the investor would produce electric locomotives, wagons and trains for collectors, as well as additional equipment – tracks, bridges and tunnels and other decorations.

– These are collector items, remote-controlled electric trains and accompanying equipment purchased by collectors and costing more than a thousand euros – said Sajić.

She added that she had started talks with the investor in September, and provided them with all the information about taxes, energy, and organized meetings with the mayors of Laktaši and Gradiška, Miroslav Bojić and Zoran Adžić, and director of the Republic of Srpska Chamber of Commerce, Pero Ćorić.

She added that the investor owned two factories in the German state of Hessen engaged in electronics, and that previously they also had factories in China.

– If they are satisfied, they tell me, they would direct all their investments to us. The good side of this investment is that they will be looking for domestic subcontractors, so the overall benefit from this investment will be significantly greater – Sajić said.
