The Third Serbian Diaspora Book Fair held in Gothenburg confirmed that the written word is one of the pillars of culture and identity of every people. This two-day event presented the works of our writers from ten countries: Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Republic of Srpska, France, China, Czechia, Germany, Great Britain and Serbia.

The organizer of the Serbian Diaspora Book Fair is the Creative Communication Initiative association, in cooperation with NBV and MTEL GLOBAL, which were also the general sponsors of this year’s book fair. The goal of this event is a joint contribution to the preservation of culture, tradition of writing and language.

Program moderators were Gordana Antunović as host, Jasna Janković, professor of literature, and Vesna Jerotijević, teacher from Belgrade.

The Fair was opened by Jelena Čukić Matić, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Kingdom of Sweden, Gordana Antunović, founder of the Creative Communication Initiative, and Sabaheta Salkić Vehabović on behalf of NBV.

In the ceremonial part, the Serbian Cultural Center Mladost association from Helsingborg announced the Fair with their songs.

On the first day, the panel Bridges to the Diaspora was held.

On the second Fair day, priest Igor Davidović from St Stefan Dečanski parish Gothenburg gave a lecture on the topic Importance of Faith in the Diaspora.
