A ceremonial academy held in Banja Luka marked the beginning of the celebration of Sretenje – the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia and Statehood Day of the Republic of Srpska.

Serbian people’s sacred word is freedom and we will never yield to submission, said the President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik at the ceremonial academy on the occasion of Sretenje – the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia and Statehood Day of the Republic of Srpska.

– I do not wish to be selfish and say that we are only interested in a strong Serbia, and President Aleksandar Vučić has made it so. Strengthen Serbia and do not allow its progress to stop – said Srpska’s President.

He stated he was looking forward to being together in Sremska Mitrovica, as well as in Banja Luka.

At the time when the Sretenje Constitution came into force, the Serbian people were an example of humanness and humanity, Dodik recalled.

The church is our identity, and this is also evident from how much we build and restore our churches – stated the President of Srpska.

– I am proud to belong to this people, a suffering but proud people. Our ancestors did not have the opportunity to be educated, but they knew their origins, and they remained in this area. That is why we in the Republic of Srpska will work as hard as possible on our uniting. We do not wish ill on either Bosniaks or Croats, but we love our own people the most. Is that controversial? – asked Dodik.

– We also have no problem with BiH and that is why we will fight. Long live Serbia, the Republic of Srpska and all Serbian people – concluded Srpska’s President.

Thank you for this magnificent welcome, thank you to the people of the Republic of Srpska for everything. They speak with tears in their eyes, hoping that things will get better both in the Republic of Srpska and in Serbia, and tell Srpska I love her, said Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić at the ceremonial academy on the occasion of Sretenje – the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia and Statehood Day of the Republic of Srpska.

He stated that the Serbian people was no one’s enemy.

– Do we want lasting peace? We do. When will you wish for others what you wish for yourself. We have the same name and surname, the same culture, tradition, our only name is Serbs, and we will not let anyone take that away from us – said the President of Serbia.
