The 26th anniversary of the NATO bombing of the then Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was marked by holding of a symposium entitled NATO War 1999 – Causes, Consequences, Lessons.
The symposium took place in the Albert Hall, organized by the Serbian-Austrian Solidarity Movement, and with the support of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Austria and the SECS Prosvjeta Vienna.
Hannes Hofbauer, Austrian opinion journalist and historian, and Zoran Avramović, Belgrade-based sociologist and author, spoke about the NATO aggression against the FRY and the bombing of Serbia.
The exhibition The Wailing Wall was also held, prepared by the SECS Prosvjeta.
Prosvjeta’s charity concert was held in the Albert Hall in Vienna to help the kindergarten Maja located in the village of Osojane in Kosovo and Metohija.
The program featured Prosvjeta’s Little Choir, Serbian Academic Ensemble, Igor Filipović, Vanja Toscano, Tara Stojanović, and many other soloists.
As part of the humanitarian action, students from Prosvjeta’s Serbian Language School exhibited and sold their works, thus providing support to their peers from Kosovo and Metohija.
This SECS Prosvjeta humanitarian program was supported by the Republic of Srpska’s Representation in Austria.
