A presentation and interactive seminar dedicated to the results of the Fit4Austria project, implemented by the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Austria in cooperation with the Banja Luka Innovation Center and the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, was held in Banja Luka.

The event presented the results of several years of project implementation and the new cycle that will officially begin in autumn. The Fit4Austria project was designed to support business entities from the Republic of Srpska in the process of internationalizing their business, preparing for entering the European Union market and connecting with Austrian partners.

The Head of the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Austria, Mladen Filipović, said that the activities of the Representation were aimed at creating stable and long-term economic ties between the Republic of Srpska and Austria.

‘Our priority is to present the Republic of Srpska as a reliable partner in Austria and the European Union. Through appearances at trade and tourism fairs, we promote our potential, with the active participation of institutions and companies from the Republic of Srpska. I would like to highlight especially the Business Register of the Representative Office, an online platform in German, in which over 150 companies from Srpska have already been registered, and which is available to our partners in Austria,’ said Filipović.

The Director of the Banja Luka Innovation Center, Drago Gverić, noted the importance of partnership in project implementation.

‘Today’s seminar was an opportunity for the participants of the Fit4Austria project to exchange experiences with companies that are just starting to join. In this way, we create a network of contacts and provide practical support to our companies on their way to the Austrian and EU markets,’ said Gverić.

In addition to local entrepreneurs, the presentation was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska, the Investment Development Bank of the Republic of Srpska, the Chamber of Commerce, the Tourist Organization, local communities and other relevant institutions and associations.
