The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Radovan Višković, together with the President of the Provincial Government Maja Gojković and the Prime Minister of Serbia Miloš Vučević, visited the sixth Homeland Fair in Novi Sad, an event that brings together representatives of institutions, organizations and homeland associations from Serbia and the region, with the aim of strengthening cooperation in the fields of business, tourism and culture.
Addressing the present, Prime Minister Radovan Višković stressed the importance of preserving Serbian identity, tradition and culture, noting that the Serbian people had demonstrated perseverance in preserving their spiritual and national values throughout the centuries. The Prime Minister added it was important for the Serbian people to come together and connect, in order to work together to preserve cultural heritage and economically strengthen the region. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska also said that an economically strong and stable Serbia could provide support to the Serbian people wherever they live.
In his address, Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević emphasized the importance of Serbian unity, noting that gathering at events like this was proof of the strength and unity of the Serbian people. He referred to the importance of supporting Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, inviting them to participate in political processes and to fight for their rights. Vučević also stated the importance of connecting and strengthening cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska. At the end of his address, he said the Republic of Srpska was an inseparable part of the Serbian national being, while Kosovo and Metohija was an inalienable part of Serbia.
At today’s fair, the prime ministers visited the exhibitors, which included presentations of associations, foundations, municipalities and cities from the Republic of Srpska and the Republic of Serbia, and homeland associations from Lika, Banija, Kordun and North Macedonia. The exhibitors treated the prime ministers to traditional specialties, including homemade brandies, meat products, salads and dishes that are part of the rich Serbian tradition.
