The Republic of Srpska – Republic of Slovakia Business Forum was held in Banja Luka, organized by the Republic of Srpska Chamber of Commerce and Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation. The purpose was to exchange experiences and knowledge, but also to introduce the businessmen of the two countries to the possibility of mutual cooperation.
The Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokić attended the Republic of Srpska – Republic of Slovakia Business Forum in Banja Luka yesterday.
The Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokić said that foreign trade between Srpska and Slovakia was at a modest level by economic indicators, and that there was room for improvement.
Geographically, we are very close and we have similar economies, and there are opportunities for that,’ stated Klokić at the Republic of Srpska – Slovakia Business Forum.
He noted that the gathering saw participation of a large delegation of Slovak businessmen, who would have the opportunity to present cooperation possibilities, but also to see what the Republic of Srpska had to offer for potential investment in their fields of activity.
Klokić expressed his belief that such gatherings would enable businessmen from the Republic of Srpska and Slovakia to cooperate more with each other in the coming period.
The forum brought together more than 70 businessmen from the fields of environmental protection, digitalization and IT sector, as well as transport and construction.
The forum included two panels, where businessmen presented the business potential of both economies, exchanged contacts and negotiated future potential cooperation.
