The twelfth Days of Srpska in Serbia organized by the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Serbia will open officially on Friday, 20 September at 20:00 in the National Theater in Belgrade with live broadcast by Radio Television of the Republic of Srpska.

The ceremony will be attended by the highest-ranking representatives of Srpska and Serbia, ministers in Serbian and Republic of Srpska governments, parliament members, representatives of the Provincial Government, army and police generals of the two countries, representatives of church corps, academics, prominent artists, businessmen and other guests.

The artistic part of the opening ceremony will include performance of the dramatic and musical program Sobornost, inspired by the ideas of the Pan-Serbian Assembly held on 8 June this year in Belgrade. Performances will also include Stanislav Binički choir and artistic ensemble of the Serbian Ministry of Defense, vocalists Ana Stanković, Nevena Đoković and Filip Vučić, Vjera Mujović in the role of narrator, actor Željko Erkić, Bojana and Nikola Peković with gusle and accordion, and Una Saga Serbica dance and ballet company. The composer and conductor is Draško Janković, the choreographer is Svetozar Krstić, and the director is Dragan Elčić.

In addition to Belgrade, various program activities of Srpska Days in Serbia in the fields of culture, science, education and art will be held in 11 other cities in Serbia in the next six days. On Saturday, 21 September, the program will continue in Kragujevac, Kraljevo and Subotica, and in the following days in Kruševac, Požarevac, Novi Sad, Sombor, Niš, Vranje and Sremska Mitrovica. The closing ceremony of the event will take place on Thursday, 26 September at 20:00 in the Cultural Center in Zrenjanin.

On Tuesday, 24 September at 11:00, businessmen from the Republic of Srpska and Serbia will meet within the supporting program of this year’s event, at a business forum at the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina in Novi Sad.

For eleven years, the Days of Srpska in Serbia have been contributing to the overall cooperation between Srpska and Serbia and the preservation of the Serbian national identity, language, script, Orthodox faith, culture and tradition, and the main message of this year’s event is that the Serbian people have never needed unity and sobornost more.
