Republic of Srpska House, a shop offering products from Herzegovina and Krajina, will open officially in Vienna today.
A delegation from the city of Trebinje traveled to the Austrian capital for this occasion, led by Mayor Mirko Ćurić and including Deputy Mayor Dražen Bošković and Director of the Trebinje Agrarian Fund Veselin Dutina.
Dutina told reporters that this was a major undertaking for the city of Trebinje and the Agrarian Fund, and that it was a concept that would unite two brands of the Republic of Srpska for the first time.
– The idea came from the Serbian-Austrian Business Forum, with the support of representatives of the Republic of Srpska, and the President of the SNSD, Milorad Dodik, who gave full support to Srpska being visible in the EU in this way – he said.
Dutina stated that, due to the simplicity of the facility’s functioning, they decided to bring together the products of the Republic of Srpska in one place.
– Initially, these will be products from Herzeg House and Krajina House, I believe that in the future there will be more products from the region. Our products will be represented under our brand and exported through the Agrarian Fund – Dutina noted.
He stated that this was the crown of nine years of work by the Agrarian Fund and Herzeg House, and that there was great interest in products from Herzegovina and Krajina in Austria.
– The benefits include generating higher income, opportunity to export to other markets for producers who have not had it before – said Dutina.
He recalled that the St Sava Ball would be held in Vienna in February, and the city of Trebinje was a partner of this event for the first time.
Dutina announced Herzeg House opening also in Novi Sad in February.
