Although in the aggravated pandemic conditions, the Jahorina Olympic Center has had its best winter season so far with 125 days of skiing, 265-000 skiers and 26 percent higher income than in the previous year, said the director of the Jahorina Olympic Center, Dejan Ljevnaić, at the presentation of the summer tourist season held in Belgrade, on Novak tennis courts, as part of the ATP tennis tournament Belgrade Open 2021.

The Jahorina Olympic Center announces new investments in summer tourism development and expects Jahorina to become a leader in mountain tourism in the region.

- We have a new gondola, two six-seaters, two new ski lifts. We also plan to buy trail building machines, two new bars, two new summer facilities, nautic jet and butterfly. We are doing all that this year - said Ljevnaić.

For three years now, the Jahorina Olympic Center has been cooperating with tennis player Novak Đoković, after whom one of the tracks was named.

- The only mountain in the world where Novak and his family allowed use of his name is Jahorina. We are really proud of that - said Nedeljko Elek, president of the supervisory board of Jahorina OC.

Jahorina is a favorite tourist destination of many tourists, especially those from Serbia.

- Regarding tourists from Serbia, they are primarily our tourist market and we managed to achieve enviable number of arrivals and overnight stays of tourists from Serbia amid all epidemiological measures. I hope that this trend will continue in the coming period, with easing of measures, opening of borders - says Branka Mihajlović, senior expert associate of the Tourist Organization of the Republic of Srpska.

The summer offer is as attractive as the winter one, they say at the Jahorina Olympic Center and remind of the most important event of the upcoming tourist season, the Ultra Trail Marathon, to be held on 24 and 25 July.
