Last week, Stuttgart, Germany, hosted this city’s six-day Summer Festival, the most visited event organized by the Forum of Cultures, the umbrella migrant organization. The traditional and cultural diversity has made this Summer Festival of the city of Stuttgart widely known, so guests from other German cities are not rare. All the employees of the Forum of Cultures contributed to this with their great involvement, led by director Rolf Graser and president of this organization, Sami Aras. Since the first year of its existence, this event has not failed to include Serbian associations. Although the representatives of Serbian associations could not be present for several days this year, as before, due to development of the space in front of the city hall, the organizers tried to respond to everyone and enable all associations to have their own stands.

The Serbian associations with stands included representatives of SHCS Morava from Stuttgart and Serbian Center. In addition to the sale of traditional Serbian dishes, the members of Morava ended a successful part of the year with a successful performance by the middle folklore group at the traditional Summer Festival. They performed dances from the Užice region on stage in front of a large audience. ‘On the big stage, they were not far behind much older groups with their dancing skills. The youngest on stage, but big in the way of dancing. And as it usually happens, the whole performance was accompanied by a big applause from the audience’, said the Moravians, adding that with this performance ‘the semester was successfully completed’. ‘Everyone is going on a well-deserved holiday, and upon their return preparations should start for the 25th anniversary of Morava, which Moravians will celebrate on 14 October in the hall in Alpstr. in the Degerloch district. We want everyone to remember this event. That is why we will make a little step outside the usual framework of previously seen celebrations, but let it be a secret until 14 October so that all our guests can enjoy the dance and song with all their heart and soul’, said the Moravians.
