The interior ministers of Serbia and Republic of Srpska, Aleksandar Vulin and Dragan Lukač, met in Drvar with representatives of Serbs in the Federation of BiH.

Representatives of the municipalities of Drvar, Bosansko Grahovo, Glamoč, Odžak and Bosanski Petrovac were present.

Discussions covered the position of Serbs in the Federation of BiH and Serbia’s help to Serbs in that entity.

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Dragan Lukač, called devastating the fact that some villages in returnee municipalities in the Federation of BiH had neither electricity nor water.

– Cantonal authorities must do more to help Serb returnees in these municipalities and provide them with basic living conditions. This certainly includes electricity and water, and these are the things that still have not been overcome after so many years, and which must be done.

With the help of the Governments of the Republic of Srpska and Serbia, which has invested a lot of funds, especially in the municipality of Drvar, Lukač added that Serbia had also opened production plants to enable the people to survive in this area on their work.

– That help will continue – Lukač emphasized.

Serbian Interior Minister, Aleksandar Vulin, pointed out that as long as President Vučić was in power, Serbia’s policy would be to preserve peace in the region and help all Serbs, regardless of where they live.

– If the Federation of BiH is unable or unwilling to take care of its citizens of Serbian nationality, Serbia is there to take care of them. Any help to Serbs living in the FBiH should be understood as help to the Federation, because it means less money that they have to allocate from their budget and from their taxpayers – said Vulin.

The head of the municipality of Drvar, Dušica Runić, expressed her gratitude to Serbia and Republic of Srpska for the help provided.

– We have indicated the needs and problems that each of these municipalities has and that the residents encounter every day – Runić emphasized.
