Minister without portfolio in the Government of the Republic of Serbia in charge of coordinating activities and measures in the field of relations with the diaspora, Đorđe Milićević, received representatives of the Association of Serbian Diaspora Folklore Societies, which numbers more than 20 thousand members across Europe.
Milićević invited the leaders of Serb associations from Germany, Switzerland and Croatia present at the meeting to participate in the project of July and August summer camps for children in 30 cities and municipalities throughout Serbia, which will bring together 15 thousand children from the diaspora.
The entire project will be funded by the Minister’s office and implemented by local self-governments.
The Minister also informed the interlocutors about a series of online meetings with successful businessmen of Serbian origin from the diaspora who are interested in investing in Serbia.
The goal is to connect diaspora businessmen with local self-governments that will present their projects to potential investors.
Milićević pointed out in particular that Serbia is a country that is economically and politically stable.
There is no risk when investing in Serbia, rather there is only economic and legal security and guaranteed profitability of business, Milićević said.
The plan is to organize 25 to 30 summer camps in places all over Serbia for children from the region and the diaspora aged 12 to 18, on various topics, from scientific and ecological content to gatherings of cultural and artistic societies, and sports camps, reads the statement.
