The book The Wealth of the Serbian People is an encyclopedia on the material and cultural wealth of the Serbian people from the Middle Ages to the present day. It was authored by many experts from various fields of social sciences, and the promotion was held in Višegrad.

The monograph The Wealth of the Serbian People consists of 17 units on over 500 pages and offers an encyclopedia of extensive material and spiritual wealth of the Serbian people.

‘Such books should play an educational role for the younger generations to come, so that they know who they are, where they come from and what they should preserve as our people’s achievements in various fields,’ says Danilo Basta, SASA academician.

‘This book is an encyclopedia of the material and cultural wealth of the Serbian people, who, as one of the oldest European peoples, are in fact a treasury of cultural, archaeological, historical and natural wealth,’ says Miljana Pecikoza, Ivo Andrić National Library, Andrićgrad.

The editor of the publication, Dr. Slobodan Janković, said during the promotion that the monograph was literature that provided answers about the place occupied by the Serbian people in the overall world cultural heritage.

‘All those people who left their mark both here and abroad are people who were truly leaving their work to the people. They did not only build upon themselves, they also received the talents they had been given and further elaborated, multiplied and passed them on to posterity,’ says Dr. Slobodan Janković.

The monograph The Wealth of the Serbian People was written by 22 experts from various fields, and was published by the Mir Božiji Foundation.
