The Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Thessaloniki, Jelena Jovanović, and the Acting Director of the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Arnaud Gouillon, held an online meeting today.
Gouillon said that they discussed the way Greece coordinated activities with its large and well-organized diaspora.

- In the coming period, I will have several such meetings in order to gain insight into the manner of operation and best practical examples from other countries with a large diaspora - Gouillon stated in a post on his Facebook profile.

Jovanović said that both Srpska and Serbia were fighting for the same goals.

- Preservation and development of spiritual, national and cultural independence of the Serbian people outside their homeland, economic and cultural networking, preservation of the Serbian language and Cyrillic alphabet are among the goals of both the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region and the Republic of Srpska Representation in Greece, which are worth fighting for, even when the fight seems unequal - Jovanović emphasized.
