The Director of the Serbian Government’s Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, Arnaud Gouillon, met with Serb representatives in North Macedonia and expressed the Directorate’s readiness to support their efforts to preserve their identity in that country by project co-financing.

Gouillon also met with the mayor of Kumanovo, Maksim Dimitrijevski, and discussed support to the Serbian community in that city.

He opened the concert of the Srpski vez cultural and artistic society organized on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of their work and told the folk dancers that they were preserving the Serbian culture and identity in North Macedonia in the best possible way, the Directorate announced.

During his stay in North Macedonia, together with the Serbian ambassador to that country, Gouillon laid a wreath in front of the crypt of the Church of the Holy Archangel and Michael in Skopje, the resting place of Serbian soldiers perished in the First World War.
