The Serb member of BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, met in Mostar with representatives of Serb political parties and associations.

It was noted that Serbs were finally constituent in this canton, but that work was needed on improving living conditions.

– Many things need to change. The answer would be long, but the quality of life of our people here needs to change – noted the abbot of Žitomislić monastery, Danilo Pavlović.

Velibor Milivojević, Deputy President of the Mostar City Council from the Serb List, said that Dodik’s arrival was another proof of Republic of Srpska’s interest in the situation in Mostar and the Federation of BiH and in the life of the Serb community.

– We can see that this policy that we pursue, coordinate and harmonize together, gives results. Finally, the Serbs have become constituent in this canton. But that should encourage us even more to fight and put it all into action. Political support will be accompanied by every other. Because we are willing to stay in the canton and in Mostar and make the position of Serbs even better – he added.

The Serb member of BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, stated that, after amending the Constitution, the position of Serbs in the institutions in Mostar and the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton should change.

– I am here today to assess with them how we should act in the future and to see what we have managed to do from what we agreed earlier. There are many good things behind us that we did both in church and through political organization. Today, we have authentic political representatives of the Serbian people in the city assembly, and that has enabled us to properly affirm our plans – Dodik emphasized.

Dodik promised financial assistance for the projects of associations and the Serbian Orthodox Church, as well as further support from the Republic of Srpska and Serbia for everything proposed by the Serbian community in the city on the Neretva.
