The Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, said that by the New Year at the latest, a law would be passed on assigning identification cards for Serbs with foreign citizenship originating from this area.
Dodik clarified that the identification cards would be given to all those originating from this area who had received the citizenship of Austria, Germany or Australia, thus enabling them to enjoy the status of domestic persons in Srpska in terms of real estate transactions, business establishment, use of certain services.
- Based on the law that will be put into procedure, I believe that the new convocation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska will pass this regulation by the New Year at the latest - Dodik told reporters in Trebinje.
He added that this law was being drafted and that its adoption would be proposed as soon as the new convocation of the parliament was formed.
