The Serb member and chairwoman of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, visited the Kantakuzina Katarina Branković Serbian Orthodox General Gymnasium in Zagreb.
The school inherits the tradition of the Zagreb Serbian elementary school, whose origins date back to 1814 and which, over the course of more than 200 years, has undergone various transformations, and was even closed down for a time.
Since 2005, the school has been restarted under the auspices of the Metropolitanate of the Zagreb and Ljubljana Serbian Orthodox Church.
The Kantakuzina Katarina Branković Serbian Orthodox General Gymnasium is a modern gymnasium with a modern curriculum aligned with the secondary education prescribed in Croatia.
Previously, in separate meetings, Cvijanović met with the Croatian President, Zoran Milanović, and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.
Before the meeting with Plenković at the Government of Croatia building, Cvijanović signed the Golden Book on St Mark’s Square.
– I hope that this visit will also serve the purpose of developing good neighborly relations, as they should always be between BiH and Croatia – Cvijanović wrote.
