The Serb member and Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, visited the Church of St Sava in Manhattan, New York.
– Wherever I find myself, it is always with special pleasure that I visit the places of our national and spiritual gathering. One such place in New York is the St Sava Church in Manhattan. This shrine has been owned by the Serbian Orthodox Church for 80 years, and it was severely damaged by fire in 2016.
The process of its restoration has been ongoing since then, and I am convinced that with the help of the faithful people and the dedication of its clergy, it will soon regain its former glory.
Gratitude to our hosts for the nice hospitality and the selfless efforts they invest in preserving our faith, tradition and identity – said the Serb member and Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović.
