The Austrian Serbian Folklore Festival was held over the weekend in Salzburg.

This event is one of the most important cultural events of the Serbian community in Austria, and Salzburg festival was attended by the head of the Representation, Mladen Filipović.

The audience had the opportunity to enjoy a diverse program that presented traditional dances, music and authentic folk costumes from different parts of the Serbian cultural space, and brought together folklore societies and performers from all over Austria.

The Director of the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, Vladimir Kokanović, attended the Austrian Serbian Folklore Festival in Salzburg, an event that testifies to the strength of Serbian identity, tradition and unity in the diaspora.

The preservation of the Serbian language, culture and folk traditions among our people abroad remains one of the important pillars of ties between the motherland and the diaspora.
