Under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, the traditional event Days of Serbia in the Republic of Srpska will open in Banja Luka, aimed at affirming the single cultural space and improving cultural cooperation between the Serbian people on both sides of the Drina.
The opening ceremony of the event will begin on 12 October 2025 with the exhibition Serbian Medieval Monuments in Danger held at the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of Srpska at 6:00h. The exhibition will be ceremonially opened by the Minister of Culture in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Nikola Selaković.
After that, at 7:00h, a ceremonial academy will be held at the Student Cultural Center of the University of Banja Luka, which will officially open the Days of Serbia in the Republic of Srpska.
During the event, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy a rich program and performances by eminent artists from the cultural institutions of the Republic of Serbia, Belgrade National Theater, Kolo Ensemble of Folk Dances and Songs of Serbia, and Venac Ensemble of Folk Dances and Songs of Kosovo and Metohija, and to visit the exhibitions of the Belgrade Historical, Natural History and Ethnographic Museums.
The Days of Serbia in the Republic of Srpska event is held with the aim of preserving, promoting and strengthening cultural ties and common identity of the Serbian people, in accordance with the Declaration of the All-Serbian Assembly held on 8 June 2024 in Belgrade, at the initiative of presidents Aleksandar Vučić and Milorad Dodik.
