The opening ceremony of the event Days of Srpska in Serbia was held in Belgrade last evening!

The ceremony was attended by the highest representatives of Srpska and Serbia, representatives of institutions, the army, the police, the diplomatic corps, in addition to many culture, art and business personalities.

The event will take place under the slogan The Path of Sobornost in Belgrade and 12 other cities, with a rich cultural and business program.

Sobornost, unity and the preservation of our identity are the main messages of the opening ceremony, with an artistic program and performances by ensembles from Serbia and Srpska.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, Savo Minić, opened the Days of Srpska in Serbia event in Belgrade last evening noting the importance of unity as the only way to preserve national identity.

Srpska’s Prime Minister Minić said that Serbs preserved their national identity with unity, and their soul and faith with sobornost.

– And we are on the right path, because all those who fought for these flags were like that – concluded Minić.

As event host, the head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Serbia, Mlađen Cicović, also spoke and called for sobornost and unity.

Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokić said that the Republic of Srpska had been presenting itself in the best light for 13 years through the Days of Srpska in Serbia event.

‘This is a very important event for the Republic of Srpska, given that it presents everything we are proud of, from history, culture, tradition, which we share, to economy, sports, science,’ said Klokić.

He stated that it was a great honor for him to attend that event’s opening ceremony held at the National Theater in Belgrade, recalling that Srpska would be presented in a total of 13 cities.

‘This is one of the most important events implemented by the Ministry through the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Serbia,’ Klokić said.

The envoy of the President of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, stated in his address that the Republic of Srpska was more than a political entity – it is a monument to the victims, a bequest to the future.

The blessing of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije was conveyed by the Vicar Bishop of Novo Brdo, Hilarion, who said that the Serbian Orthodox Church had always been and would be with the people of the Republic of Srpska and that together we had to do everything to preserve peace and a peaceful future for generations.

The Path of Sobornost artistic program was part of the opening ceremony and included performances by the Kolo Ensemble of Folk Dances and Songs of Serbia from Belgrade, the Veselin Masleša Folk Dance and Song Ensemble from Banja Luka, soprano Lidija Jelisić Simeunović and actors Nina Grahovac and Aleksandar Lazić.

Under the slogan The Path of Sobornost, this year’s Days of Srpska in Serbia are taking place in Belgrade and 12 other cities, where programs from the Republic of Srpska will be presented.

A meeting of businessmen is also planned, and Republic of Srpska’s tourism potential will be presented.

Serbia and Srpska – one heart, one spirit, one path!
