Special Advisor to the Minister of Education Slađana Nikolić visited the first group of students and their teachers from Serbian language supplementary schools from abroad, who are staying at the Vuk Karadžić Scientific, Educational and Cultural Center in Tršić as part of the Summer in the Homeland project under the auspices of the Ministry of Education.
‘It is my pleasure to be with you today and to have the opportunity to share these beautiful moments with you. I hope this year’s impressions have exceeded all your expectations, that you have made new friends, gotten to know this part of Serbia, learned new words and songs in Serbian, and also had the opportunity to sing, act and dance. I believe you will take many beautiful and unforgettable memories from Tršić and I am looking forward to sharing together today what you have learned in just seven days in Tršić,’ she said at the final event organized by the students.
The special advisor emphasized the importance of the Summer in the Homeland program, which is being implemented for the fourth consecutive year, and aimed at improving relations towards the Serbian language and literature as basic elements of national and cultural identity.
The students, together with their teachers, also prepared a Collection of Papers.
The final event was also attended by the assistant mayor of Loznica, Milan Jugović.
