The minister without portfolio in the Government of Serbia in charge of relations with the diaspora, Đorđe Milićević, visited the elementary school in Slatina near Laktaši yesterday within the Visiting Rural School Students Project, which aims to preserve the Serbian language, script and cultural identity.

The Visiting Rural School Students Project is implemented by the Animation and Puppetry Center Citizens Association from Banja Luka, with the support of the office of the Serbian Government’s minister without portfolio in charge of relations with the diaspora.

The project includes, in addition to distinguished children’s and young adults’ writers from the Republic of Srpska Writers’ Association, also actors reciting the verses of poems by Jovan Jovanović Zmaj, Branko Ćopić, Dušan Radović, Desanka Maksimović, Ljubivoje Ršumović and other greats of Serbian literature, announced the office of the minister without portfolio in charge of relations with the diaspora in the Serbian Government.

This year, the project is being implemented in villages around Banja Luka, Laktaši, Gradiška, Prijedor, Novi Grad, Prnjavor, Derventa and Kotor Varoš.
