The Nikola Tesla Days 2023 event started in several locations in Serbia. The event is organized by the Tesla Science Foundation USA (TSF) in honor of 10 July, the birthday of the famous Serbian scientist.

This year, the plan is to install two new Tesla busts – one in the Šabac Science Park, and the other in the Secondary Technical School in Sremska Mitrovica.

As announced, the Šišatovac monastery will hold a memorial service for Tesla’s nephew Petronije Trbojević, who was connected to this Fruška Gora monastery during his life and was buried there.

Also, the Petkovica monastery will hold a memorial service for Georgina-Đuka, the mother of our scientist, from whom, as the organizers of the event point out, he inherited the gift of invention.

A special guest at marking the Nikola Tesla Days in Belgrade was the last living member of the Serbo Seven who participated in the Apollo mission of human Moon landing – David Vujić.

According to him, the contribution of Nikola Tesla to science and development of industry in the United States of America is obvious in every possible way.

– Tesla is one of the greatest scientists of all time. I always considered him the father of the 21st century. Few people know how many astronauts particularly emphasized Tesla’s contribution to the Apollo mission’s success, Vujić said.

The Nikola Tesla Days 2023 event will last until Tuesday, 11 July.
