The International Children\u2019s Folklore Festival Licider Heart is important because it unites Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, and also connects Serbian children with their peers coming to the event from different countries of the world, said today in Belgrade the Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Serbia, Mla\u0111en Cicovi\u0107.<\/p>\n
At a press conference at the Tourism Organization of Serbia dedicated to the Licider Heart International Folklore Festival, which will take place from 15 to 19 August, Cicovi\u0107 stated that, along with U\u017eice and Zlatibor, one of the hosts of the festival would be Vi\u0161egrad, receiving young folklorists from numerous countries, as well as children from Srpska, on 17 August.<\/p>\n
Cicovi\u0107 noted that the Representation of the Republic of Srpska in Serbia had been supporting the Licider Heart for years, which is celebrating its 18th anniversary this year and is held under the slogan Coming of Age of the Heart.<\/p>\n
- We support this festival because we believe that investing in children, in their knowledge of their own culture and tradition, and in their mutual connections is an investment in the future - Cicovi\u0107 said.<\/p>\n
He invited the media and all interested parties to be part of this year\u2019s festival, and especially to come to Vi\u0161egrad on 17 August, where one of the central festival programs would be held.<\/p>\n
On behalf of the people of Vi\u0161egrad, the Head of the Municipal Department for Economy and Social Activities, Jovanka Kne\u017eevi\u0107, also extended invitation to the guests saying that it was a great honor for Vi\u0161egrad to host this exceptional event again this year.<\/p>\n
She stated that Vi\u0161egrad had a lot to offer guests, starting with the most recognizable symbols of Andri\u0107grad, the Drina River and the Vi\u0161egrad Bridge, adding that the people of Vi\u0161egrad would do everything to make every visitor to the event feel welcome.<\/p>\n
The 18th Licider Heart International Children\u2019s Folklore Festival will be held from 15 to 19 August in U\u017eice, Zlatibor and Vi\u0161egrad, and bring together around 1,200 children from 14 countries.<\/p>\n
Cultural and artistic societies from the Republic of Srpska - Soko from Vi\u0161egrad, Most from Bratunac and Alat from Trebinje - will also perform at the festival.<\/p>\n
Festival organizer is the Era Citizens\u2019 Association from U\u017eice, and the co-organizers are U\u017eice City Administration, Republic of Srpska Representation in Serbia and \u010cajetina Municipal Administration.<\/p>\n
The program in Vi\u0161egrad will begin on 17 August at 17:30 with a ceremonial reception for the ensemble representatives, and will continue with a ceremonial parade and festival concert at the stadium in Andri\u0107grad, which is scheduled for 19:00.<\/p>\n
