The festival of cultural and artistic creativity of Serbs in Austria, to be held in Hallmann Dome in Vienna on 13 April, organized by the Austrian Association of Serbian Folklore (ASSF), will bring together many top ensembles to demonstrate their dancing skills before a large audience in the Alpine republic.<\/p>\n
The ensembles perform in two blocks, the competition and the revue part. Thus far, 13 ensembles have registered for participation. The festival is also a qualifying competition for the European Festival of Serbian Diaspora Folklore, to be held in Belgrade in May.<\/p>\n
\u2018Everything is ready for the 39th Festival of Cultural and Artistic Creativity of Serbs in Austria, where the audience will once again be able to enjoy the performances of the best ensembles in Austria and Europe. Interest among the Serbian diaspora is high, and the first contingent of tickets has been sold out. This year we have prepared a novelty, we have provided special prizes for all participants in different fields \u2013 folk costume, choreography etc., but also surprise vouchers,\u2019 says Aleksandar Stankovi\u0107, ASSF president.<\/p>\n
\u2018I wish to thank all the institutions that supported this event, including the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, the City of Vienna, the Municipality of Favoriten, the Faction of Social Democratic Trade Unionists (FSG) and many others, as well as all the sponsors. The importance of the Festival is also indicated by the interest of high representatives of the institutions of the Republic of Austria and the Republic of Serbia, who will grace this event with their presence. Considering that part of the tickets have already been sold out, I invite everyone who wants to attend the Festival of Cultural and Artistic Creativity of Serbs in Austria on 13 April to hurry up and get their tickets, in order to secure their place in the audience in time, since their number is limited,\u2019 says Stankovi\u0107.<\/p>\n

The Austrian Association of Serbian Folklore (ASSF) was founded in 2020 and gathers 28 associations, clubs and cultural and artistic societies from Austria. The Association\u2019s main mission is to develop, improve, coordinate and connect cultural and artistic societies, both with each other and with other relevant cultural institutions in the motherland and the Republic of Austria, and its main activity is the preservation, encouragement and performance of Serbian traditional dances.<\/p>\n
