The 30th Vi\u0161nji\u0107 Days event in Bijeljina included an organized visit by members of the SECS Prosvjeta Vienna, who presented their long-standing activity in Austria to the people of Bijeljina and spoke about cooperation models and connecting Prosvjeta boards of the Republic of Srpska, BiH, Serbia, Montenegro and other countries. Before the beginning of the event Culture in the Diaspora, the vice-president of the SECS Prosvjeta Vienna, Sr\u0111an Mijalkovi\u0107, told journalists that this Board had been founded in 2011 and that cooperation with Prosvjeta Bijeljina was very important to them, in terms of launching joint projects.<\/p>\n
\u2013 The President of Prosvjeta Bijeljina, Slavi\u0161a Miki\u0107, visited us recently and attended the ceremonial academy on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Prosvjeta schools. It was a great opportunity to become better acquainted and to agree on concrete projects. So already today we received some books for our library from the Filip Vi\u0161nji\u0107 National Library, and such cooperation will continue in the future. We are also planning mutual visits, as well as cooperation in the field of publishing \u2013 said Mijalkovi\u0107. Professor Jelina \u0110urkovi\u0107, PhD, from SECS Prosvjeta Bijeljina noted that for years the Viennese Board had been sending reports on its work and activities, which had found a place in the magazine Srpska Vila many times.<\/p>\n
\u2013 This year, the time is right for the Bijeljina Prosvjeta to slowly start connecting other boards, and this evening we have started with Vienna. We have chosen the most active Prosvjeta in the diaspora and we are pleased that the audience will be able to learn more about their activities in Austria \u2013 said \u0110urkovi\u0107.<\/p>\n
The event Culture in the Diaspora was organized in the premises of Sokolski dom in Bijeljina, starting at 17:00hrs. This part of the program of the jubilee 30th Vi\u0161nji\u0107 Days event is organized by the Serbian Educational and Cultural Society Prosvjeta \u2013 Bijeljina City Board in cooperation with the City Administration and cultural institutions since 1994.<\/p>\n
