The Banja Luka Down Syndrome Center arrived in Thessaloniki, where they will be marking 21 March, the World Down Syndrome Day from 17 to 22 March, together with the Greek Down Syndrome Center of Greece.<\/p>\n
To mark this day, a festive lunch was held for the members of the Down Center, attended also by the Greek President, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, the President of the Banja Luka Center, Zoran Jeli\u0107, the President of the Greek Center, Nikolaos Zaimis, and the Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Greece, Jelena Jovanovi\u0107.<\/p>\n
With the support of the Republic of Srpska Representation in Greece, the city of Thessaloniki, the municipality of Kalamaria and the governorate for Central Macedonia, the five-day visit will include joint activities, i.e. workshops of these two centers, where, among other things, the members of the center will visit Zeitenlik \u2013 the Serbian military cemetery in Thessaloniki.<\/p>\n
On 20 March, Greek audience will see the premiere of the film Some New Broadway, directed by Denis Boji\u0107 and produced by the Republic of Srpska Radio Television and Banja Luka Down Syndrome Center, which deals with the problem of social rehabilitation of persons with Down syndrome older than 18 years.<\/p>\n
On the World Down Syndrome Day, 21 March, these two centers will sign a twinning memorandum that will contribute to the strengthening of brotherly relations between the two peoples, but also to the planning of joint activities in the coming period.<\/p>\n
