The most beautiful Cyrillic handwritings among the 51 received at the address of the City Board of the Serbian Educational and Cultural Society Prosvjeta were declared in Derventa, and the winners were awarded prizes and recognitions.<\/p>\n
The president of Prosvjeta Derventa, priest Dalibor \u0110eki\u0107, said that the works had arrived from the Republic of Srpska, BiH and Serbia.<\/p>\n
\u2018We did not receive any works from high school students. The selection was made in two categories, as follows: adults\/public and primary school pupils. We heard the legacy of Stefan Nemanja. Let us keep the language, if we lose the language we will have lost ourselves, our culture, people, territory, past and future, we will have lost everything\u2019, pointed out \u0110eki\u0107.<\/p>\n
In the pupil category, Sofija Kova\u010devi\u0107 from Vlasenica ranked first, Maja Glumac from Derventa second, and Ana Petkovi\u0107 from Derventa third.<\/p>\n
Kova\u010devi\u0107 is a fourth grade pupil at the Vuk Karad\u017ei\u0107 primary school in Vlasenica.<\/p>\n
\u2018I decided to send a work in for this competition. The first work I sent two or three years ago inspired me to write further. It is a great feeling to be a winner, I am happy\u2019, Kova\u010devi\u0107 noted.<\/p>\n
In the adult category, all three prizes were awarded to participants from Derventa - Jelena \u0110ur\u0111evi\u0107 was first, followed by Anica Sari\u0107 and Bo\u0161ko Gaji\u0107.<\/p>\n
\u0110ur\u0111evi\u0107 said that she was participating in the competition for the second time and that she had won the first prize in the category of public again.<\/p>\n
\u2018I like beautiful and neat writing, that really delights me. We have to keep our Cyrillic alphabet and be proud of it\u2019, \u0110ur\u0111evi\u0107 added.<\/p>\n
The Commission for the selection of the most beautiful Cyrillic handwritings included Serbian language professor Daliborka Male\u0161evi\u0107, academic painter and professor of fine arts Vujadin Male\u0161evi\u0107, and vice-president of Prosvjeta Derventa Milorad \u0110ur\u0111evi\u0107.<\/p>\n
The program, which was held at the Derventa Cultural Center, included participation of students of the Music School active within the Nikola Tesla primary school, and students of the 19 April primary school from Derventa.<\/p>\n
Visitors also had the opportunity to see the exhibition of the 2015 most beautiful Cyrillic handwritings of the Banja Luka Prosvjeta.<\/p>\n
The ceremony was also attended by the President of the Assembly of the City of Derventa, Bojan Radanovi\u0107, and priests of the Serbian Orthodox Church.<\/p>\n
