The President of the Republic of Srpska, \u017deljka Cvijanovi\u0107, said tonight in Novi Sad that during the past eight days, Srpska was presented in its most beautiful light in 11 local communities throughout Serbia, from Subotica and Novi Sad, through Belgrade, Kragujevac and Kraljevo, all the way to Ni\u0161.<\/p>\n
\u2013 Tonight, Novi Sad celebrates the Republic of Srpska, because we are ceremoniously closing the traditional Days of Srpska in Serbia in this beautiful city on the Danube. This year, for the ninth time, the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Serbia organized successfully the event aimed at promoting our economic, investment, cultural, tourism and other potentials \u2013 emphasized the President of the Republic of Srpska in her address at the closing ceremony of the Days of Srpska in Serbia.<\/p>\n
She said that she was especially happy with the fact that with every concert or performance of artists, promotion of mountains, spas or economic potentials, as well as with every meeting of representatives of twin cities from both sides of the Drina, Serbia and Srpska were becoming closer and better connected.<\/p>\n
\u2013 This, in fact, illustrates the greatest significance of this event because our strategic goal is unity and connection with Serbia. It is important to remind also here that the cooperation, as well as the level of political understanding between Serbia and Srpska are higher today than ever before. Our citizens can take pride in what we have achieved together in the previous few years, and they certainly will in what we will do in the coming period \u2013 stated Cvijanovi\u0107.<\/p>\n
She explained that she primarily meant implementation of the joint energy megaproject Buk Bijela, as well as construction of the Trebinje airport and Banja Luka-Belgrade highway, which will be the lifeblood of infrastructural integration.<\/p>\n
\u2013 A necessary condition for the achievement of our ambitious plans is the preservation of peace, stability and a stimulating environment for growth and development. We are ready to make maximum contribution to this goal, although we are aware that throughout the region there are those with priority lists including obstruction and spread of hatred rather than peace, stability and cooperation. Regardless of the destructive environment, we have our own path from which we will not deviate. We will continue to mark important dates from the past together and to connect through infrastructure and in every other way \u2013 Cvijanovi\u0107 pointed out.<\/p>\n
She noted that many challenges were before Srpska and Serbia, and that therefore it was important for them to remain strong, united and gathered around their national interests.<\/p>\n
\u2013 That is why I welcome every initiative that brings us closer and unites us, and one of the most important is certainly this traditional event, which we are ceremoniously closing tonight in the heart of Novi Sad \u2013 Cvijanovi\u0107 emphasized.<\/p>\n
She thanked the Republic of Srpska Representation in Serbia, as well as all others who had contributed to the successful organization of this year\u2019s Days of Srpska in Serbia.<\/p>\n
She pointed out that today the Republic of Srpska was stable.<\/p>\n
\u2013 Srpska knows its way and it is looking at Serbia. Srpska knows how to respond to any challenge \u2013 added Cvijanovi\u0107.<\/p>\n
\u2013 Special gratitude goes to Serbia, which opened its doors to us also this year and thus enabled us to present our potentials in the most beautiful light. We are grateful to provincial authorities and the Prime Minister of Vojvodina, Igor Mirovi\u0107, as well as to the wonderful Serbian Athens, which hosted us tonight.
