The tourism promotion event Drina Regatta concluded in Fo\u010da for the fifth time under the slogan Drina Connects Us.<\/p>\n
More than 300 participants of the Drina Regatta enjoyed the descent by boat from Hum to the mouth of the \u0106ehotina in the Drina. The participants were in the best mood and good company during the five-hour enjoyment on the eighteen-kilometer route along the upper course of the Drina, where the \u2018green beauty\u2019 is the clearest.<\/p>\n
Starting from the confluence of the Piva and Tara, where the Drina originates, the water level is lower in July, which required a little more fitness in boat rowing. The calm, transparently clear Drina in the summer heat and the easy descent showed all the beauty of the river and its surrounding nature.<\/p>\n
\u2013 It took us a little longer, for about five hours we devoted great attention to safety of the participants in over 40 boats with an average of about seven to eight people per boat. It went well \u2013 says Mladen Mandi\u0107, the organizer of the Drina Adventure event.<\/p>\n
The Drina Regatta is the final part of the Drina Adventure event, ongoing since mid-June. It started with an ecological action, and included holding of a roundtable that emphasized the importance of preserving the Drina and its tributaries.<\/p>\n
