The Republic Center for Research of War, War Crimes and Search for Missing Persons reminds that the Republic of Srpska Government issued the decision to establish the Commission based on the conclusions of the Republic Parliament, and was informed about the content of the Report at a special session on 11 June this year.<\/p>\n
\u2013 The Government of Srpska believes that only an integral and true view of events in the Srebrenica region, as well as in the whole of BiH, will contribute to strengthening trust and tolerance among the peoples in BiH, final reconciliation and coexistence of present and future generations \u2013 reads the statement of the Republic Center.<\/p>\n
The Government expresses reverence for all victims of the tragic conflict in BiH and their families, condemns war crimes committed on all sides and demands non-discriminatory prosecution of those responsible for war crimes on all sides.<\/p>\n
Speaking about the Report, the chairman of the Commission, Israeli historian Gideon Greif said, among other things, that the Commission had prepared a serious, professional and balanced report, consistent with the truth and historical events.<\/p>\n
Same as when the Report of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Sufferings of Serbs in Sarajevo between 1991 and 1995 was presented, Srpska officials assessed that it was not a document directed against any people in BiH.<\/p>\n
\u2013 The intention is not to diminish anyone\u2019s suffering or pain, but that it is necessary to look at the events of the war in BiH impartially and with arguments, which is why these commissions were formed \u2013 said the Republic Center for Research of War, War Crimes and Search for Missing Persons.<\/p>\n
