Tourism promotional video \u2018Nothing much, but much more\u2019 of the Tourist Organization of the Republic of Srpska won third prize in the category of best tourist destinations and regions at the prestigious Japanese World\u2019s Tourism Film Festival.<\/p>\n
The Ambassador of BiH to Japan, Sini\u0161a Berjan, accepted the award on behalf of Srpska\u2019s Tourist Organization at the venue of the festival, the Buddhist temple Kiyomizu-dera in the city of Kyoto, the old capital of Japan.<\/p>\n
The temple was founded back in 787 and it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. Due to its cultural and historical value, it is used for the organization of events of exceptional importance, announced BiH Embassy in Japan.<\/p>\n
The award ceremony was attended, among others, by Tsuyoshi Kigawa, director of the festival, Akihiro Kashima, president of the international jury, and Seigen Mori, chief priest of the temple and member of the jury.<\/p>\n
The organizers of the festival rated very highly the promotional video of the Tourist Organization of the Republic of Srpska and conveyed to the ambassador their admiration for the tourist potentials and natural beauties of Srpska.<\/p>\n
On behalf of the Tourist Organization of Srpska, Berjan presented the director of this festival with a painting symbolically representing the Republic of Srpska. The president of the jury and chief priest of the temple also received appropriate presents.<\/p>\n
At Berjan\u2019s invitation, these eminent Japanese experts confirmed the possibility of visiting the Republic of Srpska and BiH to further promote the region, as soon as the conditions for safe travel are created.<\/p>\n
The festival awarded 68 videos in six thematic categories, out of a total of 1,327 videos from many countries of the world, which is the largest number of entered videos in the history of the festival.<\/p>\n
The third festival award for the tourism promotional video of the Tourist Organization of Srpska is of exceptional importance in view of the number of received tourism videos and the extremely strict criteria of the international jury.<\/p>\n
This is the 15th film recognition for the tourism promotional video from festivals around the world, and now from Japan.<\/p>\n
The Japan World\u2019s Tourism Film Festival, held on 2-3 March, is an official member of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals.<\/p>\n
