The Day of the Republic of Srpska and the 29th anniversary of the adoption of the first Constitution of Srpska will be marked in Belgrade by a discussion on Friday, 26 February, and traditional reception on Sunday, 28 February, which will be organized in a television studio this year in the form of a collage show, announced the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Serbia.<\/p>\n

On Friday, 26 February, the Republic of Srpska Representation is organizing the discussion on the topic The Republic of Srpska before New Challenges in the press center of the Journalists\u2019 Association of Serbia, together with the information and political portal Sve o Srpskoj (All about Srpska). The Serb member and Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, is expected to take part in the discussion.<\/p>\n

The traditional reception of the Republic of Srpska Representation in Serbia on the occasion of 9 January \u2013 the Day of the Republic \u2013 and 28 February \u2013 the day of the adoption of the first Constitution of the Republic of Srpska \u2013 is organized every year in the Old Palace in Belgrade, but this year it will be held in a television studio in the form of a collage show due to the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

The show will be broadcast on the first program of the Radio Television of the Republic of Srpska on Sunday, 28 February at 21:00, on the second program of the Radio Television of Serbia at 20:00, and on 41 other local and regional televisions in Serbia.<\/p>\n

The President of the Republic of Srpska, \u017del\u0458ka Cvijanovi\u0107, the Serb member and Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabi\u0107, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selakovi\u0107, the Mayor of Novi Sad, Milo\u0161 Vu\u010devi\u0107, and drama artist Tihomir Stani\u0107 will join with appropriate addresses. The Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska, Zlatan Kloki\u0107, and the Head of the Republic of Srpska Representation in Serbia, Mla\u0111en Cicovi\u0107, will be in the studio.<\/p>\n

The cultural and artistic portion of the TV reception will consist of a short drama program featuring the actors of the National Theater of the Republic of Srpska \u017del\u0458ko Erki\u0107 and Nikolina Friganovi\u0107 and a music program of the Banja Luka Philharmonic String Ensemble with soloists: soprano Minja \u0160ukalo and baritone Sini\u0161a Paji\u0107.<\/p>\n

The guests at the reception are all those who will watch this year\u2019s celebration in Serbia of 9 January, the Day of the Republic of Srpska, and 28 February, the day when the first Constitution of the Republic of Srpska was adopted, reads the announcement.<\/p>\n

The Republic of Srpska marks 9 January as the Day of the Republic because it was founded on that date in Sarajevo in 1992 under the original name The Serbian Republic of BiH, and the then Assembly of the Serbian People of BiH passed the Declaration on the Proclamation of the Republic of the Serbian People of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The first Constitution was adopted on 28 February 1992, under the name of the Constitution of the Serbian Republic of BiH, and was the foundation of the legal power, security, legality and legitimacy of the Republic of Srpska.<\/p>\n
