The Head of the Republic of Srpska Representation in Austria, Mladen Filipović, spoke yesterday in Vienna with the newly appointed BiH Ambassador to Austria, Siniša Bencun.

During the discussion, Filipović wished Ambassador Bencun much success in his future work, and expressed his belief that the previous good cooperation in various fields would continue in the future.

On this occasion, the Head of the Representation informed the Ambassador about the planned activities and emphasized that the priority in Representation activities remained the strengthening of economic ties between the Republic of Srpska and Austria.

Ambassador Bencun said that the activities of BiH Embassy and Republic of Srpska Representation related to the development of economic cooperation with Austria, should be complementary and carried out in joint efforts to enable as good and efficient results as possible.

The interlocutors shared the view that Austria was one of the most important partners of the Republic of Srpska and BiH, and that cooperation with the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and other important actors would continue in the coming period in order to act in harmony in the field of improving economic relations.

The discussion emphasized the importance of continuously maintaining good relations with Austrian partners, and expressed the willingness to work together to affirm positive trends in the fields of education, culture, tourism and other related sectors.
