Last evening, a ceremonial academy was held in Vienna to mark ten years of existence of Prosvjeta SECS Serbian supplementary schools in Austria, including cultural and artistic program and attendance of Serbian students.
The ceremony was opened by Arnaud Gouillon, Director of the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region in Serbian Government.
Before the start of the ceremony, Gouillon visited the premises of the Representative Office, where he spoke with its head, Mladen Filipović.
A joint message was that Prosvjeta’s Network of Serbian supplementary schools in Austria was of great importance for the large Serbian community in Austria, and that it was one of the foundations for the preservation of our identity and culture.
Gouillon will open ceremonially 10 new supplementary Serbian language schools in Austria today, together with the honorary president of Prosvjeta, Srđan Mijalković.
The assistant minister Helena Krnetić, PhD, also attended the ceremonial academy as a representative of the Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation in the Government of the Republic of Srpska.
